Witch Way to the Candy Corn - Halloween Hoopla Shaker Kit

Witch Way to the Candy Corn - Halloween Hoopla Shaker Kit 0

Hey crafty people, it's Laurie Willison here.  I am stopping in today with a couple of new cards using the latest Halloween Hooplah Kit

I adore the pattern paper pack that comes in the kit.  I love all the colors together and so when I saw this diagonal striped piece of paper, I knew it needed to be a background for this card.  I attached it to the card base and then added on a cover up die.

I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then built the little shaker box Witches Hat.  I added in several toppings from the kit and finished it off with a little band of orange cardstock and a twine bow.

Candy Corn is always a hit this time of year and I love that you can find so much of it in this Halloween Hooplah Kit.  The die cut is so much fun and easy to put together, even in this non-shaker card.....

I used the scrap of background paper from the first card and then popped the white panel up on foam tape.  Then I stamped in the sentiment and added the candy corn die cuts.  The little stars are actually toppings from the kit and worked perfect for fun little embellishments.

The kits are still in stock and ready to shop!  Grab one up for yourself today.  Thanks so much for coming by and have a  great day!

Enjoying the Seasons!

Enjoying the Seasons! 1

Hey there, its Laurie Willison here.  I am stopping in today to share a couple of Queen and Company shaker tags!  I have a housewarming gift to give and I though how perfect a Fall themed tag would be.  So I created this...
IMG_5056
I used the Shaped Shaker Tags to create this project.  I assembled the shaker box with a kraft tag die cut on the top.  I added the orange diamonds from the Primary Diamonds Toppings set and also added in some copper pearlies from the Matte Pearlies Toppings set.
I used some die cut leaves from MFT around the tag frame and then added some ribbon, twine and a little glitter gel pen on the leaves, to finish it off.

I created a Halloween themed tag using a different shaker tag box....
Queen and Co Fall Tags
For this tag, I used a glitter washi and a black mini washi to add a little decoration to my green tag frame, I created the shaker box and added the matching washi to the inside of the tag.  I used Black Pearlies and Orange Bubbles to fill the box.
I added a couple extra touches using MFT's Fab-BOO-lous Friends spider web and the Stitched Alphabet dies to add the word BOO to the acetate part of the tag.  I also added in some orange ribbon and black twine.  I die cut one black tag frame and attached that to the back of the frame, just for another fun detail.
Queen and Co Fall Tags
So this is it for me today.  I hope you have enjoyed my fall themed tags.  These shaker boxes are so much fun and add so much pizazz to your cards and gifts.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Tag It Up!

Tag It Up! 0

Hey crafty friends!
It's Laurie Willison here.  I am stopping by today to share a couple of tags with you using the Shaper Shaker Tags kit.
This first card was so fun and so easy to make.  I grabbed one tag box, 2 of the same shaped acetate windows and die cut 2 black frames....
Queen and Co Shaker Tag
I filled the inside of the box with diamonds....of course....and then Pink Pearlies.  I added the back of the tag with the 2nd acetate window to create a see through tag!  Last, I did a little ink blending and added the sentiment on the front.  I tied the tag to the bag with twine and then added in a big pink bow to finish off the gift.
Queen and Co Shaker Tag
My next tag is another one that is easy to create.  I used another tag foam box, a piece of acetate, I die cut a white tag frame and then fussy cut another tag for the back of the frame.
Queen and Co Shaker Tag
I filled the inside with Black Matte Pearlies so they would pop against the white tag.  I did some more ink blending and then attached this celebrate die on the top.  I used some black jute and a black mini clothespin to attach it to my little gift back.  I love how the color really pops against the white.
Queen and Co Shaker Tag
I hope you have enjoyed my tags.  They are so easy to recreate so grab your own kit today and start making some shaker tags!
So glad you stopped in.  Have a great day!

Create a One in a 'Melon' Background!

Create a One in a 'Melon' Background! 1

Hi crafty friends!
It's Laurie Willison here with another couple of cards using the new Fruit Basket Shaker Kit from Queen and Company.  This kit is so darn cute and I have had a lot of fun this month.  These shaker cards are so easy to put together!  And if you aren't making a shaker card, you can use what is included to create with lots of possibilities!
This first card uses the lemon slice die but I did a little crafty cutting and change it into a watermelon...
Queen and Co Fruit Basket Kit
First, I lined the card base with that adorable paper included in the paper pack. I added a stitched panel on the front with the melon sentiment.  I used fun foam to pop that panel up.  Next, I cut the lemon slice, did a little removing of the insides and then create the watermelon slice.  I wanted to add the white rind in there so I did a little creative cutting to add in that layer, but otherwise the dies were so each to trim down.  I popped it all up on the foam shaker box and then added in three black gems, that are included in the kit, inside.  So instead of a shaker box, you have a 3D watermelon slice!

This next card was so fun to make!  First, I took a panel of white cardstock and covered the center space with 4 colors of copic dots and then stamped the sentiment.  Next, I added in the lemon shaker box....

I filled the shaker box with lemons, limes and some diamonds....well, because diamonds!  :)  I added a white mat to that first panel and then popped that up on the green  card base.

To finish of the card, I added the leaves and stem die cuts and the used a couple of the green and yellow dots form the kit.

Simply Elegant Berry and Melon!

Simply Elegant Berry and Melon! 0

Hey crafty friends!  It's Laurie Willison here.
The latest kit, Fruit Basket, from Queen and Company is so much fun.  It's filled with adorable toppings, the perfect fruity dies, an AMAZING paper pack and the perfect foam boxes to create easy shaker cards.  Seriously.  SO easy!
I have 2 fruity cards to share today.  This first one uses the Strawberry dies and foam boxes....along with a gorgeous piece of striped paper from the paper pack....
Queen and Co
That stripped paper CALLED my name when I first opened the paper pad.  Rainbow, of course, as well as stripes.  All the stripes!  I covered the front of an A2 sized card with the patterned paper and then simply added a sentiment stamped on a banner.  I die 3 pieces using the strawberry dies....1 white negative for the background, the red for the edge and then the green leaves.
Queen and Co
I assembled the box with the foam and the acetate, and added the toppings that come in the kit and then topped it off with the die cuts.  So easy!  The strawberry toppings are adorable aren't they?  I did add some clear diamonds for a little sparkle (not included in the kit).
Queen and Co
I wanted to show how easy it is to create a simple flat, non-shaker card too....
Queen and Co
First, I did a little ink blending a piece of cardstock.  I wanted that ombre look from the red all the way to the white of the watermelon.  I was able to place the die perfectly on top of that ink blending spot and get the perfect look.  I did the same with the watermelon rind.  I stamped the adorable coordinating sentiment and then added 2 of the black tear drop gems on the watermelon.
Queen and Co
This month there will be so much more to see using this kit.  So come back here and visit to see more Fruit Basket inspiration.  Thanks so much for coming by and have a great day!

Star Shaker Kit 2 Ways!

Star Shaker Kit 2 Ways! 0

Hello there!  It's Laurie Willison here with a couple of cards using the Star Shaker Card Kit  from Queen and Company, to make 2 cards.
This first card uses the negatives from the foam front....
Queen and Co
I did a navy wash on watercolor paper and added that to a kraft card base.  Next, I added the stars and removed the the top layer and then used the baby beads to cover each of the adhesive stars.  I added in a simple sentiment die cut to finish of the card.
Next, I used the shaker kit.  I kept them nice and simple by adding in the Tiny Bubbles to fill each star....
Queen and Co
I popped a die cut sentiment up on fun foam to complete the card.  Easy peasy!
Thanks so much for coming by today!  Have a great day!
