Ghoulfriend, I Love Black! - Halloween Hoopla Shaker Kit 0

Hi there, Laurie Schmidlin with you today.  I've got a couple of cards to share with you featuring the brand new Halloween Hooplah Kit!  This year, I have gone from having never made a shaker card in my life to being completely addicted to creating them!  The Queen & Co Shaped Shaker Kits are entirely responsible for my newest obsession!  :-)  Every time I think the kits cannot get any cuter, the next one comes out and I'm blown away!

Can I just say how completely adorable these little fimo pumpkins are?  I just can't get over them!

I created a little night scene out of the patterned paper from the kit.  One tip, when stamping on the clear acetate pieces like I did here, make sure to use a permanent ink (I used StazOn).

I couldn't help myself, I just had to add one of the fimo pumpkins to my sentiment strip!  To the top of the pumpkins, I added a piece of thinly cut cardstock that I curled around a pencil.

For my second card, I combined two of the patterned papers from the pad included in the Halloween Hooplah Kit.  I chose to use the witch's hat for my focal image and created a spooky shaker from it.  My favorite part of creating shaker cards is choosing the toppings and filling them up!  It never gets old!

With the busy background of the card, I wanted to make sure the shaker focal image stood out so I added a vellum star.  I embellished with some of the included Orange Iridescent Bubbles.

Seasons of Change!

Seasons of Change! 1

Hi there!  Laurie Schmidlin with you again today, and I have two more cards featuring the Shaped Shaker Tags Kit

Tags are one of my favorite things to create as they are so versatile!  They dress up any gift so wonderfully or they create the perfect focal image for a card.  Turn that tag into a shaker and it goes to a completely new level!

I love wreaths and the circle tag included in the Shaped Shaker Tag Kit is the perfect size for one!  I created the shaker tag, filling it with several different toppings, and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Dots Paper Pad.  I embellished with a couple of Yellow Rivets next to the die cut sentiment.

Toppings Set:  Pearlies Matte, Sequins, Tiny Bubbles, Pops

For my second card, I created a festive Holiday card.  The card was very easy to put together but the frosty toppings in the shaker tag make it look detailed and one of a kind!  I chose toppings that are silver and white in color and backed it with a strip of paper from the Stripes Paper Pad.

Something Shaker Sweet!

Something Shaker Sweet! 0

Hi there, Laurie Schmidlin here with you today!

I have two more cards to share with you featuring the Fruit Basket Kit.  I am still so completely smitten with this kit!

I think this apple has to be my favorite!  That's a hard thing to say because I absolutely love all of the fruit...but this apple is SO cute!  And those little apple fimo toppings...cutest things ever!

While playing around with the included fruit dies, I noticed that the inside "wedges" of the citrus fruit dies would also look cute as a banner!  I just love how all of the patterns from the paper pad go so well together!

I filled the shaker with the included apple fimo toppings as well as some Red Pops Toppings and Tiny Bubbles Toppings.

For this card, I pulled together several of the patterned papers form the kit to create a wild and fun card.  I couldn't decide which fruit shaker to use, a lemon or a strawberry (to match the paper), so I used them both!

I just cannot get over the cute fruit toppings!!

Create using Dies Only!

Create using Dies Only! 0

Hello!  Laurie Schmidlin here with you today!  I've got a couple of cards to share with you that I created with the brand new Fruit Basket Kit!  I have been a fan of Queen & Co's kits for quite a while, but this kit is hands down my favorite!  I love everything about it...the dies, the fun sentiment stamps, cute paper, and especially the adorable little fruit fimo toppings!

Both of my cards feature ways to create using the included dies, aside from creating shaker cards!  There are so many possibilities!

My first card is all about the citrus shapes!  I die cut two of the large citrus dies and two of the smaller ones.  I sponged them to look like an orange, grapefruit, lime, and lemon.

For the sentiment, I embossed in white one of the included stamps onto black cardstock.  I then wrapped some of the included twine around the edge before adhering to the card using dimensional foam.

My second card shows a fun way to create a three dimensional strawberry!  I die cut the strawberry die four times out of the included patterned paper.  I scored each die cut down the middle and folded them in half.  I adhered each side together using a strong adhesive.

I added a strip of patterned paper (included in the kit) and did a little messy stitching to attach it to the card.  For embellishment, I sprinkled on a few Epoxy Dot Stickers.

For the love of COLOR!

For the love of COLOR! 0

Hi there!  Laurie Schmidlin here with a couple of fun and bright cards to share with you!

I absolutely love color!  That is one of my favorite things about Queen & Co...all the beautiful colors!

I created a shaker card using the Balloons Shaker Kit and Balloons Card Front Die.  My favorite part about creating shaker cards is adding the toppings!  I added three different kinds to the balloons:  Pops, Fimo Fun, & Tiny Bubbles.

Supplies:  Balloons Shaker Kit, Balloons Card Front Die, Pops Topping Set, Tiny Bubbles Topping Set, Fimo Fun Topping Set

My next card is a clean and simple card with pops of bright, cheerful colors.  I started by die cutting the film strip (from the Say Cheese Shaped Shaker set).  I then added some Red and Yellow Wallflowers and a couple of Yellow Sparklers.  I grounded the die cut sentiment by adding a strip of striped patterned paper (from the Stripes Paper Pad).

Supplies: Stripes Paper Pad, Say Cheese Shaped Shaker Set, Red Wallflowers, Yellow Wallflowers, Yellow Sparklers

Different Ways to Use Toppings!

Different Ways to Use Toppings! 0

Hi there!
Laurie Schmidlin here and I've got a couple of cards featuring different ways to use Queen & Co's Toppings!

One of my favorite things when creating, is to add special little details.  They just seem to give cards that little something extra!  Queen & Co's Toppings and smaller flowers are the perfect embellishments for this!

For my first card, I created a heart shaker using items from the Heart Throb Kit.  I filled the heart with blue and green Tiny Bubbles (from the Tiny Bubbles Toppings Set).  The patterned paper on the heart shaker is from the Simple Stripes 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  For embellishment, I adhered little blue stars from the Fimo Fun Toppings Set.

For my next card, I used some Sunflowers and Posies to add color embellishments to my jungle themed card.  I started by die cutting the Foam Front Die - Window (one of my favorite card front dies) and added it to a piece of patterned paper from the Pretty Presents 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  I tucked in stamped and die cut images and then added a few yellow posies (from the Baby Bling Book -Posies) and Orange Sunflowers.
