The Candles Shaker Kit is a versatile set, easily tailored to a male or female recipient by simply changing the shaker toppings and any other embellishments. I made a super-girly card using pink hearts from Fimo Fun, Pops, Posies and Pastel Diamonds.
To create the mat beneath the blank card front, I cut a piece of patterned paper from Heart Throb Mat Stack to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. I measured and marked a ½” border on each side then used a craft knife to remove the inside rectangle before adhering over the acetate. Before adhering the blank card front, I removed 1/8” from each side then adhered over the acetate and patterned frame, carefully aligning the candle openings.
On top of my card front, I adhered a few Pom Poms, flower-shaped sequins and a sentiment by Paper Smooches.

My second card uses my favorite butterfly from Shaped Shaker Butterflies and Heart Throb Mat Stack.
After filling the shaker shape with pink Donuts and Pastel Diamonds, I adhered the acetate then used the coordinating die (also included in the kit) to die-cut a dotted cover. For a bit of variety, I adhered a second die-cut butterfly, a few pink Rivets and a die-cut sentiment from Taylored Expressions. I love that dies are included with the butterfly foam shapes as they can be used with the shaker pieces or without.
