Create using Dies Only! 0

Hello!  Laurie Schmidlin here with you today!  I've got a couple of cards to share with you that I created with the brand new Fruit Basket Kit!  I have been a fan of Queen & Co's kits for quite a while, but this kit is hands down my favorite!  I love everything about it...the dies, the fun sentiment stamps, cute paper, and especially the adorable little fruit fimo toppings!

Both of my cards feature ways to create using the included dies, aside from creating shaker cards!  There are so many possibilities!

My first card is all about the citrus shapes!  I die cut two of the large citrus dies and two of the smaller ones.  I sponged them to look like an orange, grapefruit, lime, and lemon.

For the sentiment, I embossed in white one of the included stamps onto black cardstock.  I then wrapped some of the included twine around the edge before adhering to the card using dimensional foam.

My second card shows a fun way to create a three dimensional strawberry!  I die cut the strawberry die four times out of the included patterned paper.  I scored each die cut down the middle and folded them in half.  I adhered each side together using a strong adhesive.

I added a strip of patterned paper (included in the kit) and did a little messy stitching to attach it to the card.  For embellishment, I sprinkled on a few Epoxy Dot Stickers.

Unboxing & Reveal of Fruit Basket Kit & 2 Fun Cards! 0

Hey there Queen and Co fans!
Rebecca here! Summer is in full swing and one of my favorite parts of summer is the fruit! Don’t get me wrong, I love the relaxed schedule and time in the pool, but berries are some of my favorite foods on the planet so I love when they are in season! Just in time for the fresh fruits to hit the table, Queen and Co released the latest Shaker Kit called Fruit Basket. Featuring shaker shapes from mouth watering watermelon to ripe strawberries, this kit has everything you need to create the brightest, happiest and most delicious looking shaker cards!
The kit is jam packed with dies, an entire 6x6 mat stack that features bright colors and fruit patterns, lots of fruit shaped toppings and more!
Each fruit die shape comes with 3 Foam Shapes and acetate pieces that are die cut to match. You will be able to make a TON of cute cards just using items from the kit!
The kit also includes three colors of bakers twine, epoxy dots and jeweled rain drops that look just like seeds!
The orange die cuts a cross sectioned piece that can lay right on top of the acetate window. Of course if you cut it out of yellow or green it could be a lemon or lime. I used two of the apple leaves as orange leaves.
The bright colors of the kit and cute fruit shapes are sure to make the happiest cards to put a smile on any recipient’s face! If you would like to see all the items included in the kit and see how quickly I was able to put together these two cards, check out this video HERE!

Ginger Williams here!
By now you have likely seen our "sweetest" kit yet, Fruit Basket, but have you seen these adorable mini acrylic fruits you can get as an add on to the kit?

These, tiny, miniature fruits make wonderful additions to the shaker cards you can make with the kit, plus they are cute enough to stand on their own as a card focal point.

I created these cards using the apple and watermelon shapes along with matching sentiments, papers, bling, and twine from the main kit.

Then, I used Kraft colored cardstock as a great neutral base for the cards. With Kraft there are still pops of colors from the patterned papers, but I could also stamp sentiments in white ink. This watermelon card also has the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder to help it stand out a little stronger.

Tip: Adhering these clear acrylic pieces is easy if you use a thin layer of our Sheer Glue. It holds amazing and clear so you won't see any streaks or lines through your acrylic.

Double Duty Dies!

Double Duty Dies! 1

Hi everyone, Ginger here today!
One of my favorite things about the new Fruit Basket Shaker Kit is that there are so many options for different fruits! Today I just wanted to highlight how one of the dies (and coordinating foam shape) can be used to create both a juicy looking pear and a lovely little strawberry!

All you need to do to create the pear is to use the strawberry shape upside down and then cut a stem and leaf with the other included dies. (These dies do double duty as well as a stem and leaf for the apple shaker, or as leaves for any of the citrus fruits).

When used in the reverse you will want to pair your large strawberry die with the stem die. By adding a green stem on top of your shaker you will have a very sweet little strawberry shaker!

These tiny sliced strawberries make this one of the cutest shakers I've ever seen!

The sentiment stamps in the kit contain phrases to match both of these fun fruits which makes completing your card simple and easy!

Slices of Happiness!

Slices of Happiness! 1

Hi there,
Amy Sheffer here today with a pair of cards using some of the cutest new products ever -- all part of Queen & Co's new Fruit Basket Shaker Kit. One look at the bright colors, refreshing fruit shakers, punny sentiments, and crazy adorable fruit slice toppings and you're sure to be as smitten as I am!
I Hope Your Day Is As Sweet As You Are
For my first card, I combined three different fruit die-cuts. Each die coordinates with a foam shaker piece, but you can see they stand alone beautifully as well.

I die-cut everything in white and used blending tools to color and shade with inks. I turned the lemon wedge into a shaker using the coordinating foam and those adorable lemon slice toppings. For the watermelon, I added some black twinkle drops (included in the kit) for seeds.

I love the colorful epoxy dots, too, and thought they'd be a perfect accent around my sentiment banner.
Wishing You A Slice of Happiness
For my second card, I created a refreshing, lemon-lime design perfect for summer.

The fruit wedges can be lemons, limes, oranges, or grapefruit. I loved the two-tone yellow and green combo, so we'll call these lemon-limes ;) I used some of the clear Twinkle Drops as seeds.

I white embossed one of the sentiments on black card stock and tied a tiny yellow twine bow on for an accent.
I'm having so much fun designing with this kit! Thanks for stopping by!
Summer Shaker Cards!

Summer Shaker Cards! 1

Hello there Queen & Company fans!
Michele Boyer here today, sharing a bit of summer using two Foam Front Shaker kits.
On my first card, I used a Waves Foam Front kit. (Stamps from Paper Smooches.) Before adhering the pre-cut foam, I attached a blue pattern from Picture Perfect Mat Stack. Inside the openings, I placed white and blue Pops along with pink and blue Fimo Fun toppings.  One of the bonuses of the Fimo Fun toppings is that the pieces are flat and can easily be adhered as embellishments as I’ve done with the pink hearts. (Posies are wonderful embellishments also!)
After filling the openings, I attached the acetate panel with Scrap Happy Sheer Glue, adhered the pre-cut card front and stamped pieces then tied a bit of blue Sparkle String.
Next I used a Polkas Foam Front kit to create a super-summery hello. Behind the foam I placed a sheet of yellow Delightful Dots then filled the openings with Bright Pearlies and Pastel Diamonds. The diamonds are my favorite of the toppings. They add SO much sparkle!
In addition to the sparkle of the diamonds, I adhered yellow and orange Iridescent Flowers as well as a bit of yellow Sparkle String. So much shine on this one!
