Hi Queen and Co fans!

Rebecca here with two new shaker cards that feature tons of  texture, shape and color! There are lots of ways to make shaker cards, but Queen and Co kits make it a breeze to create shakers giving you lots of extra time to add all kinds of fun elements to take your shakers up a notch!
For this first card, I used the the coordinating foam front die to die cut a bright white piece of smooth cardstock so I could pounce a circle of ink color around the largest circles. I filled the circles with buttons from the kit and Toppings I had on hand in a rainbow of colors and finished it off with a black stamped sentiment. I added some rhinestones from the kit and a button as well. For a clean and simple card, it is packed with color, texture and tons of circles! Plus it was so easy to put together!
To add texture to my second shaker card I adhered a piece of felt to the cardbase that comes in the Foam Front card kit. I cut the sentiment out of glitter fun foam using the script sentiment dies. The Queen and Co Foam Front shaker adhered perfectly to the felt without a problem!
The felt backing adds a fun textural element to the otherwise very simple card. The Queen and Co flowers from the kit were the perfect compliment!

Thanks for stopping by!

Deck the Cards - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit

Deck the Cards - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit 0

Hi there crafty friends!

Michele Boyer here today sharing two cards I created with Queen & Company’s new Merry & Bright Ornament Shaker Kit.  The kit includes SIX ornament dies with an assortment of seven ornament tops, tiny toppings of snowmen, candy canes, green and red peppermints, gingerbread, several assortments of pearls (my personal favorite), an adorable holiday paper pad and holiday sentiment stamp set!  SO much fun!
On my first card, I used two of the ornament dies, simply die-cutting the shapes from white card stock. I adore the detail of snowflakes in the round ornament. They’re so small and delicate! Inside, I placed an assortment of pastel pearls.
To add a bit of interest around the ornaments, I adhered the negative die-cut circles from the top of the ornament and ornament top dies.  I think they make a perfect little accent! The ornaments were tied at the top with blue stretchy string. To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment in white pigment ink then white/heat embossed.
Next I created a clean and simple card using one ornament die with an assortment of patterned papers and silver foil card stock for the tops. I filled the shaker ornament with bright pearls and tied/hung the ornaments with silver cord.
As on my first card, I used the negative space from the ornament and ornament top dies to create small faux metal accents. I especially like the look of the dots cut from foil card stock.
My cards were so much fun to create! I think the recipients will enjoy them as well!  Thanks so much for visiting today!
Traditional or Modern colors? - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit

Traditional or Modern colors? - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit 0

Hi Queen and Co fans!

here with two new shaker cards. Now that we are into November, it is definitely time to start planning some holiday cards. I for one, love the Queen and Co. kits for that because my cards come together quickly, but also come together with a wow factor that your recipients will love. Whether you tend to use traditional Christmas colors or like the fresh modern colors for your holiday designs, the Queen and Co Merry & Bright Ornament kit has you covered. I started making this very bright, fun modern card.
Here, I added some silver foil cardstock just for the ornament cap, but the pretty patterned papers, pearl toppings for shakers and blue string were all found in the kit!
Using the same kit, I was also able to create this card with a traditional color scheme.
I did add some gold and foil cardstock for this ornament shaker card, but everything else including the red and green patterned paper and the green and white twine was found in the kit! Even the candy toppings used as the shaker elements are a traditional green and white.
So, no matter how you like to make your Christmas cards and what colors of Christmas baubles you gravitate towards, this kit allows you to make shakers that perfectly match your style!
Happy card making!
:) Rebecca
Winter Wonderland - Snow Globe Shaker Kit

Winter Wonderland - Snow Globe Shaker Kit 0

Hi there Queen & Co fans!
As I mentioned last week, here is the 2nd instalment of card ideas using my stamp set, designed especially for Queen & Company with Fall & Winter in mind. This unique, Snow Globe Stamp & Shaker set , AND the Pop Up Dies- 8 circles as well as a selection of pretty fillers are perfect for your holiday card making projects!
The beauty of this set is that the individual stamps can work equally as well for Fall cards as well as Winter themed cards. Today I will be showing you some examples you could try for the Holidays.
I selected white cardstock this time for the outer ring & snow globe base. TIP: To get a loose snow globe base, stamp in a light color ink on the back of the cardstock, use the stamped image as a template. Fussy cut the shape out & adhere to the bottom the circle shaker window. I used an appropriately sized die from the Pop Up Dies- 8 circles found in the online store, to create a ring around the circle window.
By stamping 'trunk' of the tree in bright green, then used the the fir tree branch stamp to fill in....voila! I had the cutest little fir tree. Multiple layers of torn white paper became home for the little cluster of happy penguins. A mixture of pearlies & bubble fillers made the snow interactive and red dotted paper from our 6x6 paper pads cut into a starburst design, was the perfect way to offset the snowy scene.
Red stripes & aqua really compliment the snowflake pattern created using the different snowflake stamps in the set as well as the jaunty red scarf worn by Mr Snowman. I love how the smallest branch stamp becomes his arms LOL. To further the snowy theme, a mixture of silver, white and clear pearlies & bubbles look great in the shaker. If you are curious how I achieved the dot pattern on the snow globe base, I selected a lighter aqua ink & stamped it onto a piece of patterned paper from our dotted 6x6 paper pads
I selected craft cardstock this time for the outer ring & snow globe base and charcoal for the inside to make the fillers pop!
Again I stamped a 'trunk' for the tree in grey ink & added branches this time creating the base for the tree. A lighter green ink & the fir tree branch stamp fills in perfectly. Red ornaments with embossing powder make it so festive and don't you love how the fussy cut holly sprig draws attention to the title? A mixture of aqua patterns from our 6x6 paper pads cut into strips & machine stitched, are such a great way to decorate the base card.
So as you can see...this one stamp set has multiple uses no matter the card theme. Remember to pop back and take a look at what other fantastic ideas the DT have come up with.
Be sure to grab one of these limited edition sets whilst they are available.

Let it Snow - Snow Globe Shaker Kit

Let it Snow - Snow Globe Shaker Kit 0

Hey crafty friends!  It's Laurie Willison here with another couple cards from the Snow Globe Kit.
First up, this adorable little snowman image from the stamp set included in the kit...
Queen and Company Globe Kit
I made a background by heat embossing the snowflakes in the background.  Then I added hills using white card stock and then stamped the snowman.  I added the foam front and filled it with toppings.  To finish the card, I stamped the snow globe base in black and then added a few extra details to the card front.
This next card was so easy to make.  I used the circle negative from the Foam Front Circle Die and one of the greenery images from the stamp set.
Queen and Company Globe Kit
I stamped it repeatedly to create the wreath.  I added the dot image around the wreath to add some pops of color.  I heat embossed the sentient in gold embossing powder in the center.  To add more color, I added in a cardstock bow.  I popped the wreath up on a striped card stock base.
Thats it for today!  I hope you have enjoyed my Snow Globe Kit cards.  Thanks so much for stopping in!

Let it Snow! - Snow Globe Shaker Kit

Let it Snow! - Snow Globe Shaker Kit 0

Hi there, Amy Sheffer stopping by today with some wintry Snow Globe Kit cards. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! (As long as it's inside a shaker card!)

The wintry images in the Snow Globe stamp set are so adorable! I've put together the penguin and snowman for this first card. I stamped them, colored with Copics, then did some aqua ink blending on the sky before stamping some aqua and metallic silver snowflakes and my sentiment.

Once the stamping was done, I adhered the Circle Foam Front Shaker, filled the shaker with kit toppings, and covered with acetate. I stamped the snow globe base in black, then grounded that with some light gray shading. To get that stitched aqua frame. I started with the circle that's left over from a Circle Foam Front Diecut, then used a smaller circle die from my stash to cut the middle out, leaving me with a perfectly sized circle frame.

Along the top, I added various embellishments in the same white, purple and aqua colors as the snow globe scene.

For my next card, I wanted to create a serene wintry scene. In both soft and smokey grays, I stamped a grouping of trees, leaving the limbs bare for winter. Having four separate limb stamps to mix and match is so helpful for a grouping like this, as each tree can look slightly different. I sponged on a light gray horizon line to help give the effect of a snow-covered ground, then filled the shaker with white, silver, and aqua toppings.

There is a holly berry image in the stamp set that works double-time as the aqua "snowballs" in this scene. The globe base is stamped, trimmed out and adhered to the frame layer. I selectively stamped words from two different sentiment images to get this simple "for you" sentiment.

Last card for today is a stamped wreath popped up on the foam circle negative.

This one is pretty straightforward. I stamped the pine sprig, holly leaves, holly berries, pinecones, and bow to make the wreath, stamped "best wishes" in the center, and adhered it to the foam circle.

The base layers are made of striped patterns from the Stripes Paper Pad, and last, I tied on a length of Red Sparkle String for a finishing touch.
