Deck the Cards - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit 0
Michele Boyer here today sharing two cards I created with Queen & Company’s new Merry & Bright Ornament Shaker Kit. The kit includes SIX ornament dies with an assortment of seven ornament tops, tiny toppings of snowmen, candy canes, green and red peppermints, gingerbread, several assortments of pearls (my personal favorite), an adorable holiday paper pad and holiday sentiment stamp set! SO much fun!
Traditional or Modern colors? - Merry & Bright Shaker Kit 0
Rebecca here with two new shaker cards. Now that we are into November, it is definitely time to start planning some holiday cards. I for one, love the Queen and Co. kits for that because my cards come together quickly, but also come together with a wow factor that your recipients will love. Whether you tend to use traditional Christmas colors or like the fresh modern colors for your holiday designs, the Queen and Co Merry & Bright Ornament kit has you covered. I started making this very bright, fun modern card.

Let it Snow! - Snow Globe Shaker Kit 0
The wintry images in the Snow Globe stamp set are so adorable! I've put together the penguin and snowman for this first card. I stamped them, colored with Copics, then did some aqua ink blending on the sky before stamping some aqua and metallic silver snowflakes and my sentiment.
Once the stamping was done, I adhered the Circle Foam Front Shaker, filled the shaker with kit toppings, and covered with acetate. I stamped the snow globe base in black, then grounded that with some light gray shading. To get that stitched aqua frame. I started with the circle that's left over from a Circle Foam Front Diecut, then used a smaller circle die from my stash to cut the middle out, leaving me with a perfectly sized circle frame.
Along the top, I added various embellishments in the same white, purple and aqua colors as the snow globe scene.
For my next card, I wanted to create a serene wintry scene. In both soft and smokey grays, I stamped a grouping of trees, leaving the limbs bare for winter. Having four separate limb stamps to mix and match is so helpful for a grouping like this, as each tree can look slightly different. I sponged on a light gray horizon line to help give the effect of a snow-covered ground, then filled the shaker with white, silver, and aqua toppings.
There is a holly berry image in the stamp set that works double-time as the aqua "snowballs" in this scene. The globe base is stamped, trimmed out and adhered to the frame layer. I selectively stamped words from two different sentiment images to get this simple "for you" sentiment.
Last card for today is a stamped wreath popped up on the foam circle negative.
This one is pretty straightforward. I stamped the pine sprig, holly leaves, holly berries, pinecones, and bow to make the wreath, stamped "best wishes" in the center, and adhered it to the foam circle.
