Shaking It Up Card Tutorials!

Hello crafty friends, Kim here.

Welcome to the Queen & Company blog. Today I am excited to share x2 card ideas with you. They are both colorful and fun to create with a clever little technique on each, you might not have thought of trying before. Let me show you what I created.

Best Wishes Sweetie Card by Kim Watson

Inspired by the stamp sentiment & the foam candles base, I created this card filled with candy swirls. Together with swirly lolly bits, bakers twine swirly candy bits & iridescent pearls, the result is colorful & good enough to eat! I love 3D cards with lots to touch & feel, & this idea does just that!

Hello, Miss You Card by Kim Watson

Cards personalised with photographs are so trendy right now & really well received, especially by family members. This card was one I have been wanting to try ever since I received my talk bubble die set. Max misses his uncle and aunt who live in the U.K so much, and what better way to tell them he misses them, than with a card with his cute face on the front?

The photo was trimmed to fit inside the die-cut area and stuck onto the card base, before I attached the foam front. By coordinating the fillers to match the photograph, they don't obscure the image but rather add sparkle & interest to the photograph. Alpha stickers, washi tape, iridescent pearls, a lolly & button...make this card fun to make & a pleasure to receive!
