Shaker Overload! - Halloween Hoopla Shaker Kit

Shaker Overload! - Halloween Hoopla Shaker Kit

Using the adorable 'Halloween Hoopla' kit Queen & Company created this year, especially for your halloween crafting needs, I made this page. I hope you love it as much as I do.

When I opened this kit...I was blown away by the intricate detailing of the fimo bits & the super cute shaker shapes, so decided to design a page that would include one of each of the shapes. To do this without the page looking extra busy, I used a grid design and by matting the entire page onto turquoise cardstock, I was able to dilute the orange/ purple/ green color palette.

Positioned on a 3" yellow square, the witches hat looks magical, filled with teeny stars & beads.

The plump pumpkin, on a purple tag shape, is cute enough to eat, filled with spooky mini pumpkins & sparkly orange beads. The twisted paper vine really makes it look 3D.

My 'not-so-spooky' ghost is part of the cut file set I created for this page (see below) OR you can grab the Creepy Creatures shaker & die set. In the kit you'll find a ghost, bat & spider...perfect for that extra creep factor LOL.

My geeky bat really makes me smile! I think is it the oversized wobbly eyes that make him so enduring. You can also grab him from the cut file set linked below. Positioned on a yellow circle...it looks as though he is flying with the moon behind him. A few scattered web fimo pieces finish off the night sky perfectly.

Candy corn...yes please!! Aren't the tiny mini corns just the BEST EVER!

Next, our resident green monster, made from the foam middle of the pumpkin. All I did was add a big wobble eye, horns & a quirky bow tie for a little pizzazz. Come-on a monster has to look his best at all times haha!

The last square holds the cauldron of 'boiling trouble'. Filled with eye balls, dracula's, webs & a little mystery...it really creates a stir (sorry for the cheesy pun LOL) on the bottom of the page.

To finish the layout, I took a variety of stamps from the set provided, & after stamping, cut them into talk bubble shapes. By scattering them around the page, not do they add great color balance with the pops of white but also double as 'journaling'.

Once again  Q & Co have knocked it out of the park!
Wishing you success with your spooky crafting friends...I hope this has inspired you to grab one or both of those cute kits.
